The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 209 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1986. Doughdish 209 has been sailed in freshwater and has been stored on a lift during the season and indoors during the winter. (Stock photo shown above.)
The sale includes good sails (main, jib, and spinnaker), cockpit cover, jib cover, a full boat cover, and a solid Triad Trailer.
