The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail
Doughdish No. 303 was built in 1992 by Eddy and Duff. SPEED WELL remains in great condition with regular attention given to her brightwork and hull. The boat is a complete package and ready to sail with standard sails and covers as well as custom additions.
DD 303 SPEED WELL is located in Michigan, and available for viewing by appointment only.
