When a Naval Architect from the U.S. Naval Academy wanted a retirement boat, he commissioned Ballentine’s Boat Shop to build FIDELITY. She is stunning with her navy blue hull, white boot stripe and Vivid red bottom. The J.M Reineck bronze blocks give her the real look of a traditional craft.

FIDELITY has a custom Triad trailer within the float off package allowing the boat to be launched and hauled easily with the tongue extension. Should a waterfront crane be available, the lifting straps can be attached to the keel bolts and the boat can be transferred from the trailer to the water and back eliminating busy boat ramps. The spar carriers secure the rig onboard. All these options simplify the launching, hauling, rigging and transporting of Fidelity.

The streamlined Torqeedo motor, swim ladder, and winter cover make Fidelity a well thought out package suitable for a Naval Officer and now her next owner.

The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
