SERENITY has been sailed on the waters of Nantucket since 1999 with her Tartan green topsides setting her apart from others in her fleet. Her current owner will no longer spend the summer sailing months on the island and so SERENITY has come to Ballentine’s Boat Shop to find a new home. She has working sails in good condition and a lift-off Triad Trailer. The varnish and topside paint are both in good shape, she has been well kept and cared for. SERENITY is available to be viewed in Cataumet with an appointment, contact Amy or Matt to arrange a time.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
