Stuart Knockabouts are used in PHRF racing and there are a few class races popping up on the East Coast. These easy and wonderful sloops have even been placed on large vessels and mega yachts for a fun daysailing option when at port.

WINDSOME was originally owned and sailed in Maine for many seasons. She was then sold and brought to the southern extremity of Texas. She is now back at Ballentine’s Boat Shop in Massachusetts and offered for sale.

Stuarts are effortless boats to sail and handle. The self tending Jib allows easy tacking while the lazy jacks and jib downhaul eliminate the need to leave the cockpit when lowering sail. WINDSOME also has an Asymmetrical spinnaker for additional down wind fun and the Chute Scoop makes taming the sail easy and safe.

WINDSOME’s auxiliary power is supplied by the Torqeedo 2.0 inboard electric motor, drag is kept at a minimum with a feathering propeller.

The Triad trailer and spar carriers allow the boat and rig to be kept at home for the winter or more easily brought to a regatta.

The hot Texas sun wreaks havoc on brightwork, so the shear and toe rails have been oiled, while the varnished coaming and teak seats have been kept out of the sun by the cockpit cover.

SK 47 is available for viewing at Ballentine’s Boat Shop with an appointment. Please call Amy or Matt at 508-563-2800 or Email.
