2 Sets of Mainsail and Jib Sail
Original Road Trailer - Needs replacement – Short distance travel only
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 140 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1982. DADDY'S BOAT is in very good shape with her yearly work kept up over the years. With a normal yearly work list, DD140 would be an excellent boat for daysailing or competition. The sale includes two set set of working sails and one spinnaker.
The sale includes a road trailer, but it's condition is rough with rust breaking through the metal frame in numerous places. A new trailer would be highly recommended.
