The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 155, MALGRE TOUT was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1983. DD155 has been owned by the same family since built and professionally maintained much of that time. The sale includes good working sails and a nearly new spinnaker. While the boat DOES NOT have at trailer, the sale includes a wooden storage cradle.
