CHEETAH was built to the specifications of her very experienced owner who also expertly maintained her and stored each winter in his ample workshop. His attention to detail can be seen in the upkeep of her brightwork and, among other things, a jib sheet cam cleat mounted on a hand carved block.

Like other open cockpit boats, rain is a concern for many Doughdish owners, especially for those who keep their boats away from home. CHEETAH’s owner has cleverly installed an Electric bilge pump with float switch below the cockpit soul, installed a Lithium battery in the aft deck cubby hole and concealed it from view with a beautiful teak cover. So as her next owner, you will rest easy should the rain try to dampen your sailing pleasure.

CHEETAH was purchased for family fun which included plenty of swim time. Pull into your favorite cove or sandbar and drop anchor. Her owner has thoughtfully added custom anchor holder in the forward storage area, ready to be deployed without having to reach into the bilge where they are normally stowed. The folding, teak ladder will allow you and your crew easy boarding after taking a refreshing dip on those hot days of summer.

With the Spinnaker and pole, she can be a pleaser for serious racers, day sailers, and the whole family.

The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.

She is currently located in Hyannisport, MA, and available to be seen by appointment. Please contact Amy or Matt at via Email for more information about this listing or to schedule an appointment for viewing. Or call for Amy or Matt at 508-563-2800.
