Original Road Trailer – Refurbished with new hubs, tires, bearings, and lights.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 234 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1987. LUCKY SEVEN was involuntarily misplaced in her early years and spent nearly a decade unused. Found and purchased by her current owner in 2012, DD234 was given a thorough once over. LUCKY SEVEN is in excellent condition and fully equipped. Newer sails by Sperry, custom made mooring covers, and a road trailer in excellent condition are all included in the sale.
