MASKEE has undergone a complete restoration. Her hull and decks were stripped, faired and repainted. Her decks are Awlgrip Cloud White with nonskid particles added for safe, sure footing. Her hull was painted with Awlgrip Jade Mist Green and a Cloud White boot stripe. The bottom was thoroughly sanded and coated with Dark Green ablative antifouling paint. MASKEE looks like a new boat!
MASKEE also recently received new standing and running rigging. She now rests on a 2024 Custom Triad trailer with the Special Float Off package allowing her to be easily launched and retrieved. If a trailer is not needed, the boat is available separately.
The custom Triad trailer allows her owner to transport her home and provides a perfect cradle for winter storage, the package fits perfectly in a standard garage.
Based on the Herreshoff H-121⁄2 design, the Bull’s Eyes deck has been modified to handle stronger winds and seas yet the hull shape remained unchanged. She carries all of the same sailing characteristics as the Herreshoff H-121⁄2 providing the seaworthiness that has made the design so famous. The Bull’s Eye has a nice size cockpit that will comfortably accommodate 4 or 5 adults however, can be easily single handed with her self tending jib.
