The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 225 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1987. TATI is in great condition and benefits from a recent 120 hour refit. Her teak trim has been refinished, her decks painted, and comes will a full inventory of additional gear. The sale also includes a custom float-off trailer and winter cover for safe storage in the off season.
