This is a one owner boat, purchased in 1990 to replace the previous Doughdish that was tragically lost in a fire. WAUZO has been professionally maintained by a reputable yard and always stored inside. She received two coats of varnish each winter and her bottom was stripped and repainted in 2021. She was given a new Mainsail, Cockpit cover and Jib cover in 2020 and new shrouds in 2023.
The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
